Can this be done?
Hello Forum!
I just joined a few minutes ago after watching many of the excellent Tilecoach YouTube videos.
I have a few questions about my bathroom remodel concept. I want a curbless walk in shower. I don’t want a curb anywhere. Can the glass go right to the floor? The linear drain would go right at the wall where the shower head is. I imagine I will have to recess the floor in the shower area to slope it to the drain. I also want to heat both the shower and bathroom floor. A large concern I have is how to properly waterproof where the bathroom and Shower floors are at different levels. I am especially concerned about what to do at that outside corner where the tiled wall, glass, bathroom floor and shower floor all meet. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Thanks
Brian

Hey Isaac,
Thanks again for the response. Here is a list of what I think has to be done to get the floor ready for tile. Any comments would be appreciated.
Remove subfloor and modify joists for proper slope and install new subfloor.
Prep for linear drain.
Level the floor in the rest of the bathroom
Transition from floor to shower with mortar? (I’m not sure what to do here)
Kerdi-board on the walls.
Install the Ditra heated floor. 1 circuit in floor and another in the shower.
Seal the floor and shower with Kerdi band waterproofing. (How to seal the floor at the corner where the shower floor and bathroom floor meet the wall is not clear to me)
Let me know if you think a private coaching session would be a better way to have this discussion.
Thanks again
