Shower Leak Test, Evaporation?
There must be some evaporation during the shower 24 hr leak test?? I did my test and think I'm good as far as leaks go, but my water line did drop. I'm not a physics expert, but there's too much water-surface area to not have any drop in the water line--especially in dry climates (I'm in Utah).
And for discussion purposes, I don't see anything online/videos about what to do if your leak test fails? Are you starting over? A couple more coats of Hydro-Ban? Thanks everyone!!

Water retention can also play a role. It’s probably fine. If you are not pressed for time I would drain it, do a visual inspection with a magnifying lens or reading glasses and check for cracks or pinholes in the hydroban.
Do another coat if necessary. Re- flood test. If you get the same 1/8” drop, I would say that it is probably evaporation.
