Electronic valves

So, I've always been a person who loves new technologies. I love learning, and after 19 years working as an electrician, I'm still learning and taking training. We have all met the contractors who are stuck in their old ways, and my thought is they don't want to learn or take training. Think of the contractor that never uses Pex, hot mops, and builds a non-bonded shower.

Now, I'm not saying those things don't have a time and place to be used. I'm saying certain people will exclusively use them because of just their opinions and no research.

Anyway, to my point. I am thinking of using the Kohler Anthem digital control. It looks exciting. Remote mounted valve and a sleek touchscreen is the only thing in the shower. Obviously tech wise there are more things to go wrong as it's not as sample as a Brizo or Delta rough in.

Tell me your thoughts? Any experience? Or maybe you know someone who has one?

Thanks in advance

I installed the Moen U valves in my laundry room which is on the back side of my shower, and so far, I've been pleased. It's a really simple system that is ridiculously over-priced for what it is (a simple micro controller and some stepper motors.) You can buy a 3D printer that has more features for much less. It works, and although the API limits access for 3rd party programmers, the Moen U works with Apple HomeKit, and there's an integration for Home Assistant that will turn the shower into active sensors that can be used for triggering various automations, like playing a specific song on spotify to the shower's overhead speaker depending upon the season, day, time, etc., or triggering WLED to fire off a specific LED scene for the lighting. Right now our shower will fire up the Zwave switch that controls the exhaust fan...etc., etc....
