Freestanding whirlpool

Planning on installing a freestanding whirlpool in a wet area. Question is, where do you put the outlet? I'm thinking under the tub, but not sure if it would require anything special.

Or run the plug under the floor into the basement below it and have the outlet there?

I want to help. But I agree 120v in a wet area is suspicious. Is the tub at least at the high side of the wet area? How are you waterproofing the bath drain?

But to play devils advocate because i like creative solutions:

1 in. hole in the subfloor to basement GFCI.

Waterproof in a Laticrete Pipe Collar for showerheads into the floor assembly.

Cut hole in Tile over collar

Use watertight flexible conduit with a high loop under the tub, down, thru the rubber collar to basement drip loop and GFCI.

(if its not exposed under the tub, maybe bond a second pipe collar around the conduit on top of the tile assembly) bonding primer, thinset, hydroban.

Just thinking out loud with you. But common sense prevails. If this tub is in a low spot and near a drain etc..It makes no sense to even think about trying this. But i've often wondered "how to" in wet areas as well. I've basically designed you a huge potential hole in your wet floor so take my thoughts with some sugar.
