Florida new home, shower no liner?
I have a 4 year old house in Orlando and need to replace pebble shower floor as it discolors even after being sealed 2 months ago. Looking at the drain I have opened up a small area around it down 3" and see no liner and there are no weep holes. I want to remove the pebbles and install porcelain octagonal sheets.
Question please: How should I proceed?
Would it make sense to, after removing the pebbles, improve slope any if needed and put liner over existing mud bed? I would like to use a FloFx drain body if that is a good option here.
At the walls I can leave an 1/8" gap and fill heavy with silicone all around perimeter.
Thank you!
Scott

I'm not sure what you mean by Blue Max. Around here, Cincinnati, Blue Max is an old outlawed plastic piping (basically old version of PEX).
So I'm not exactly sure what your saying
