Sizing kbrs hard curb - math right?
I’ve got an odd shaped shower so I’m going old school with pre slope, liner etc. However, I bought a kbrs hard curb and need to reduce the width because I want to put a 4.5 inch one piece threshold on top. That said, I need to reduce the width of the kbrs curb. Are my assumptions right?
- 1/8 thick liner
- 1/2 inch cement board
- 1/16 thinset
- 1/4 tile
total of 15/16 rounded to 1” each side. So cut my curb from 4” wide to 2.5?
also, can I substitute hydro ban for the liner and therefore no need for liner/cement board??
Thanks

Jim- I believe noble company makes "overlay curbs". But it sounds like you will have some tricky folds in the liner with the angled curbs. I really would advise to use a newer system to avoid the pan liner issues you will encounter.
RSS will make th pan to the exact custom slope needed if you want to go that route, or you can mud float a pan and use sheet membrane or liquid membrane on top with a flofx drain. But the RSS would definitely be the easiest to do correctly.
