I tiled my shower floor! What is next?
I just finished my first tile install! I hope it looks okay. I tried to clean any thinset that came up in between the tiles, but I may have missed a few places. I will have to clean those out before grouting. The thinset I used was the 253 Gold by laticrete. It was easy to work with.
The next thing I was planning on doing was the bathroom floor so we can get the new toilet installed, mainly because we're down to one toilet in the house right now. Plus, I have all the floor tile here ready to go.
We used self leveler on the floor. Our house is one story with a cement slab foundation. I think I'm more of a laticrete person...I was thinking about using the strata mat as an uncoupling membrane between the self-leveled floor and the tile, but then I saw something else they make called Fracture Ban. Would Fracture Ban be ok to use instead?
Any advice is appreciated!
Also, should I grout the shower floor before tiling the walls?
