leveling with thinset
Yet another question:
Despite my best efforts my shower door opening, now encased in durock, has sides that are not perfectly flat.
There is a slight concave bow leaving a max gap of about 1/8” in the middle of the roughly 7 foot span.
Because Im having unbroken quartz panels applied there I want them as true as possible.
Question:
Is it acceptable, structurally, to level this surface with thinset. It would obviously taper to a very thin layer at the top and bottom. Would this compromise strength of bonding the quartz subsequently?
Thanks
Steve
