Greetings,

I am ready to install my pan and drain. The install is on SLC over a basement slab with a concrete patch in the middle where I installed the drain trap. With products and preferences evolving continuously, I was hoping to get the latest and greatest opionion(s) on thinset of choice here. The pan is one piece 4’ X 6’. I would appreciate tips on the following-

1) Preferred thinset for this scenario (not concerned about price, just success)?

2) Do I need to prep the SLC & Quickcrete with anything other than water mist?

3) Do I need to back butter or mist the pan?

I am one click beyond beginner so open time and mixing ratio by instructions are important if not critical.
