Hello. So I got my slab chipped up ready to replace the p trap.

The question is once I go to back fill with gravel what do I do with the loose soil that was below the waste pipes. Before I dug anything out the soil was pretty compact but had to disturb when digging around the pipe. Do I need to pack soil below the pipes or can I just add gravel below the pipes and just keep back filling with gravel until I reach at least 5 inches to the top of the slab and just do the last remaining 5 inches with my sand mix cement.
