I need to start my floor for my basement, but I cannot start until I get the curb builT for my shower. Im on a concrete slab and I am going to do the dry pack pan. I’ve read not to use wood boards. I was going to try my hand at floating it but what would I use for the center core to built it up first?

Also what laticrete product would I use for my mud.

Another question I had is how do the mounts for the glass walls attach if you are not supposed to drill into the curb.
