Tiling over green board in bathroom

Hello Everyone,

We are renovating our bathroom and went with a TileRedi pan. We are going to use TileRedi wall boards inside the shower and on the shower ceiling so that we can put up porcelain tiles.

The rest of the bathroom is going to have green board as it's drywall setup. I know it is possible last minute, but is it OK to tile over the green board in other areas of the bathroom? I am thinking of a half-wall or 5 foot high of large format tiles (12x24 inch) with a pencil tile over the top to provide an easier to maintain surface.

Please let me know.

Yes, drywall is fine to tile on in non wet areas.
