first timer here! I have a question that I can’t get my head around. I had to make one of my tub walls thicker after the tub installation.

So now my wall is a bit thicker that my tub flange. I’m only wondering if it is ok that my laticrete hydro ban board goes in front of the flange to sit on the tub ledge? I saw people removing some styrofoam from the board to only have the sheet in Front of the ledge, in my case the whole thickness of the board would be in front of the ledge.

If so, I have a 1/4 gap between the board and the flange, I plan to fill it with hydro ban adhesive sealant. Make sense?
