Water goes through holes!
Is there a way to secure the glass shower panel track to the sill without drilling a hole through the sill to get to the wood framing? For the shower that I removed in my house, there was leaking through the screw holes which secure the U-channel glass track down to the sill/wall. The wood framing making up that wall was entirely wet.
I remember Isaac saying that he know the "glass guys" always just come in and screw right through this waterproofed area but maybe there is an alternative?
Would liquid nails along the full length of the U-channel hold? That product is very strong and waterproof itself. If it does not hold over time, then I could resort to putting holes in the membrane underneath.
What do you think?
Thanks!

I would recommend calling a local glass professional for advice on how to go about it. Find a company with a good reputation and lots of good reviews and they should be able to guide you through the process. Schluter has a part that is a U-channel that can be embedded into the tile. It is called Deco-SG. It will fit 3/8” or 1/2” glass panels.
