Gap behind wand outlet fixture...

ree

The drop-ear for my shower wand is almost positioned perfectly, but I ran into a small gap. Using a 1/2" X 2" nipple I was able to wind up the wand spout leaving approximately 1/8" between it and where the tile will be.

I can't find a nipple that's exactly the right length, but with that small of a gap, I figure I can fashion a black gasket or even just blast a blob of black silicon caulk behind it to give it a finished look...or build out the tile a bit...(rather not.)

Come to think of it, it's also hand-tightened at the moment...so when I wrench the nipple in just right, I might eat up some of that gap.

The nipples are tapered so filing won’t do much. I suggest making your own, like Zack showed, or caulk in the 1/8” difference. Between the wall and outlet trim.
