Ditra under room transom?

I'm putting Ditra down for the bathroom floor. D0 I go into the door opening so the transom saddle sits in the Ditra membrane or not? I've got an Avantec subfloor that's been leveled with Mapai leveler. The transition is from a traditional 1/2 inch oak floor in the master bedroom to the new bath. The tile is going to be marble flat pebbles on a sheet. Thanks Pete.

I didn't want to scare you out of your design. The ditra will work. It will be a nice smooth height to the oak too.

The rules are for point loads. So a pointy high heel could push straight down and dent the tile\ditra. But if it's outside a shower, and you're aware of it, the pebbles will work. But you will need to spread thinset flat a day ahead or the pebbles will rock back and forth on the ditra during install.

There's also liquid applied crack isolation membrane. Maybe check Laticrete and see if that works for you. Perhaps Ben or Coach has an alternative as well
