Shallow Wall-Depth Shower Valve Rough in

I think I already know the answer but I installed it so might as well ask…

Installing delta shower valve in Skoolie tiny home with shallow wall cavity depth. i need 2 3/4” depth behind finish tile wall.

I have 2x4’s side ways for my bathroom walls so rough in depth is 1 1/2” deep before 1/2” cement board, thinset and tile. I was going to aim for a strong 1/4” tile to build it out an Extra 3/4“ inch. but I think I’m still short 1/4“ to possibly 1/2” from the delta instructions. my valve is looking like it will stick it too far.

Do I have options here with this or does anyone know of a product that offers

a thin/shallower wall shower valve to fit in a 2” to 2 1/4” spacing behind finish wall??

If you are within a 1/4" of the mud guard on the delta roughs you will be fine. You can always assemble the trim on the valve to double check the amount of play you have.
