Ditra heat requirements

We have 3/4" tongue and groove subfloor in the portion of our bathroom that we will be installing ditra heat. Do I have to add plywood on top of this for Ditra heat? The instructions seem to tell me that I cannot use this as a subfloor. Could i instead use something to seal the gaps in the planks and put down the sealer that I would for the plywood?
We have limited depth, so it would require a lot of work to take up and replace with 3/4 ply.

It needs to be plywood. If you have proper joist support under the planks (min 24o.c.), you can use 3/8" ply...properly installed with glue and screws.
