Laticrete and Schluter Curb Combo
Plan: Use Laticrete 209 mud (seems to be the only mud I can find in my location currently except for Mapei's at lowes) for an approx 36"x48"shower base (home on raised slab), laticrete sheet membrane including laticrete's corners and 5" band. So, can you use mix these products with a Schluter Curb? I will be using Multimax Lite to set laticrete sheet membrane, corners and 5" membrane band, so can I also wrap the Schluter curb w/ laticrete sheet membrance, corners and 5" band membrane for waterproofing?
If needed I can also use laticrete hydro ban on all joints including the entire curb after all membranes and corners thinset in place & up the walls approx 12" to 24". Plus, I'm using Goboard for the walls and Flo Fx drain.
Having issue in my location figuring out what type of curb to install. I've seen on your video's not to use 2x4 material on a concrete slab, so the curb selection is my final hurdle.
If yes is there anything you put on top of the Schluter curb to support a glass shower door?
I'm also not liking the size of the Schluter curbs so it would need to be cut down, do you recommend a standard size for a curb before tiling?
If you have any other recommendations for curb with a home on a raised slab (home is 2 cinder blocks off the ground) it would be greatly appreciated. I'm at the point of removing the 1 piece handicapped unit that if cracking and needing replacement.
Thanks,
Mark

Yes you can mix Laticrete and Schluter products no problem.
You can cut the curb to whatever size you want. 4” is a good height.
