Thin set color
New to tile work, two questions;
Using very light gray 12"X24" floor tile and grouting with gray grout, should I use white or gray thin set and what size trowel would you recommend.

Based on my experience tiling my shower, the color of the thin set wouldn't have made a lick of difference. I suppose if the tile has any translucency to it, you'd need to think about it. I set a very light color tile over very dark thin set because the white thin set was more expensive and it turned out it didn't matter.
