Starting Lineup

Minor alignment issue? Or not.

I'm in the process of laying out my pattern on the wall and for the most part it looks good but I ran into a couple of spots that need an experienced eye. The first one is the niche. One tile edge falls just 3/4 of an inch past the edge of the niche. I can cut it as marked or I can push the edge a couple of inches further in to the right, giving it more meat, but then it throws off the pattern slightly for the wall. I could also go the other way and move the cut to the left 3/4 of an inch and simply make one straight cut, extending the tile on the right, out the extra 3/4 of an inch, to compensate. That would still throw the overall pattern off, but only by 3/4", and I don't think anyone would notice. That seems like the simplest solution but again my inexperience holds me back. Is there any reason to avoid cutting it 3/4 of an inch short and making the line continuious to the next tile? Maybe it's OK the way it is? The piece I'm holding up is just a test cut.

The second is around the valve. Again the cut out is close to an established edge. It will be covered partly by the hardware, so maybe leaving it as is will be OK? I could also push the edge out a couple of inches but gain, it messes with the overall pattern on that wall. My instinct is to leae it as is.

Suggestions welcome.

I've been very carefull to mark my tiles with the row, and "Left" and "Right" but my dislexic brain is working over time. As I was setting the row below the control, I inadvertently switched the left and right tiles. I stopped there for the day and didn't notice it until the next day when I was setting the tile with the cutout for the control and noticed the gap to the right of it fell very close to the gap below it. It was too late to change anything so I went with it. I'll probably be the only one to notice it... unless Issac drops by.
