Shower frame out of whack
Well had a contractor come in and make the shower frame for me to go on and found out a few days ago it was a bit out of whack. I honestly never thought to measure the width of the floor and the length of the walls while he was here. I checked for square and plumb, but just assumed that he would have made everything the same length/width. Well, lesson learned. So the walls and the floor are off by 1/2 inch. The bench wall is 41 3/4 long, the shower wall is 41 1/4 long, (before anything was added) the floor (where the OSB was) is 37 3/4 in the back and 37 1/4 in the front. That is what their frame was. Just to clarify, this was a new contractor, not the old one that did the first mess, lol.
I found out because, just out of the blue I was measuring for my bench and my curb and was like, wait, what! So I ripped up the old OSB, put a new nailer on (2 in the picture, 1 was the original ending of the OSB from the contractors) and extended the floor out with new OSB to 45 inches. That will give me plenty of room. Also adding 1/2 to the "shower wall" to make that even with the bench wall.
As many have noticed in previous pics the floor is very unlevel, (the shower is level however) so I might have to deal with that a little sooner than I thought.

What about the joist notching? Do the joist have a bearing point at cuts? Out of square is not a problem.
