Tile Failures and Problems

I knew that denatured alcohol works great to remove dried latex paint, so when I had a messy grout line I had missed, and knowing that the grout I was using (Prism) is fortified with latex, I took a shot at wiping with a rag with denatured alcohol. Wow! Easy! Way easier than I thought it would be!

Works well for cleaning up thinset too, of course.

Am I the last to know this?? I can't be the first!

Nice to have this option - however: denatured alcohol is no longer legally available for sale in the State of California, as I discovered. I had happened to have some around, but when I went to get more, no go. It can be bought on line however (shhhh...).
