Self leveling concrete didn’t

I used rapid set self leveling concrete. reading bag they claimed 25 sq ft up to 1/4”. My shower is 20 sq ft.

first pour of 1 bag there was a small valley left of the drain and towards the entry way a drop off.

decided to try again and this time I still have a small valley to The left of the drain and in the back right there is a drop off.

not sure where to go from here. I am Installing a RSS foam shower pan. I have two thoughts.

  1. try a bag and a 1/2. Concerned about doing a third pour without chipping out the first two.

  2. I saw where you mentioned screeding in thin set. Maybe a better option.

looking for some guidance.

I moved the level around the floor and I had one high spot and three low spots. I decided to use two bags of self-leveling and it worked this time. So I guess I didn't use enough the first two times.

Only challenge is it raised the floor by 3/4". According to bag instructions for 1/2" and above I should have added some different concrete mix. But I am going with it.
