Cutting the long edge of a 24" tile.

I'm closing in on finishing my second shower project. This one is a little easier because it's just a tub surround. The problem I'm having is that the tile cutter I am using, although it's a beast, doesn't like doing 24 inch tile the long way. It's set up for about 15 inches. I tried doing one lengthwise but keeping it straight was an issue and I eventually broke the tile. If the blade was sharper I might be able to hand feed it but at this point, after two showers worth of tile the blade is starting to dull. It still cuts a straight line but about half the speed from when it was new. I'm thinking I need to use one of those tile cutters that scores the tile and then you break it using the press?

Draw a line on the tile and follow it as you feed it through.

You just need to sharpen your blade every job.
