Spacing between ceiling and wall tile
Hello:
So, I created a story stick like you recommend. Put up all my level lines for measuring. Found the inconsistencies I need to accommodate for and which corner measurement to work from. Based on my story stick...using 1/8" grout lines and my 8"x20" tiles it leaves a space of 5/8" between the last tile and the ceiling.
SO, I guess my question is about aesthetics and what would look best.
My thought was to increase my grout line size to 5/32". This would create a space of 11/32" or roughly 5/16" heavy space (approximately twice the grout joint size) between the ceiling and last tile.
Alternatively, increasing the grout size further to 3/16" would mean I would need to cut all the tiles that meat the ceiling to leave a 3/16" space to caulk between the last tile and ceiling. I understand it would be more work doing it that way...But would it look better in the end and be worth it aesthetically?
Thanks!

Yes. I am kind of a perfectionist in a way. I will work on that. I am wanting to learn to tile the right way, and how things should be. Then I can discern as you do and know when to be a stickler and when/how to work with the way it is. Thanks for your encouragement and feedback.
