What I do is bridge the seam with Kerdi band so the band extends about an inch past where my tile will end. Once I finish tiling I’ll use 20 min joint compound to feather over the band and the drywall, sand prime and paint. Or you could have your tile extend about an inch past the band and skip that extra step…for me it’s job specific as to which method I use and why.
