My apologies to Red Gard

I must say, I give red guard a lot of grief on this website. Rightfully so, compared to the other liquid membranes on the market.

But today I must apologize. I am sorry, Redguard. You saved my day.

I am on a double OSB floor, and tile will be almost flush with the hallway already.

Penny tile, so no ditra allowed. Only noble seal TS is thin enough to be flush and suitable over OSB. None within 100 miles.

I'm reading about a product online that can be applied directly to OSB at 30 Mil, for crack isolation\moisture barrier and then tiled directly upon. Amazed and relieved, I kept reading. Bottom of the page is labeled Custom. Upon further reading realize this is a Red Guard information page!

That's right. Out of all the membranes, only Red Guard can actually be direct applied to OSB and then tiled on. (Perhaps others, but not available in a matter of hours)

Flabbergasted here.

Go Red Guard! (Don't tell anyone I said that)

I only know cuz I've written so much about it talkin smack. HAHA. I know it has it's usages and like you said is great in a pinch but the key that you wrote in there is that there are better options...but did not know you could do that on osb as uncoupling. very interesting.
