Flood testing curbless
Hello all.
How to flood test a curbless shower? Always a dilemma. There's probably 5 or 10 different ways. I'm trying this one today.
I simply laid a 2x4 in front of the threshold and weighed it down. Then I folded some of the Nova fiber in front of it and two coat hydrobanned it.
I'm hoping I can carefully pull away the 2x, trim any excess fabric and let thinset do the rest.
Cross my fingers the dam holds.

Yeah even the schluter suggested method is iffy. I think they build a dam then thinset with sheet membrane, water test the. Rip the membrane off after. Seems so paradoxical to build a curb for a curb less 😂
