Finished Master Bathroom Rebuild

I'd like to thank Isaac and his support resources for helping my wife and I on our bathroom remodeling project. We did the planning, design, and work ourselves. Tile Coaching sessions were instrumental in the success of the project throughout these phases.

The project was complex and lenghty. During the demolition, after removing the old fiberglass shower, the vinyl flooring, and 1/4" plywood underlayment, we found significant subfloor damage and mold. We removed the walls surrounding the old shower, 3/4 of the subfloor, had to do mold remediation, and structural reinforcement to the joists.

To start the rebuild, we leveled floor joists and recessed them where we installed the new custom Tile Redi curbless shower pan. Isaac was right on when it comes to the simplicity of installing and sealing Tile Redi pans. We built a new wall for the shower plumbing and a knee wall for the shower. We built it high enough where we don't need any glass.

The final steps before tiling included leveling the studs around the shower, installing Tile Redi boards, and decoupling membrane on the floor. During the demo, we had to remove some of the ceiling on top of the shower and couldn't match the drywall texture. Therefore, we covered the ceiling with vinyl bead board after installing an exhaust fan with light.

I included the finished bathroom pictures. Thank you again Isaac.
