Tub Filler Install on Concrete Slab... IT sucked

I searched for hours for good videos or other instructions for installing a freestanding filler on concrete slab. Found nothing really...... I didn't want the filler with a little tripod I could just put on top of tile and screw through to slab. I installed one with a valve below the sub-floor. Lot's of videos with wooden flooring and valves mounted between floor joists....much easier process. Concepts are generally the same, but getting the valve at the right depth and keeping everything level and stable while I also fill the hole I jacked in my slap was a clown circus (makes me the head clown). I wish I had better video skills and time to make awesome videos like TC cause there must be many others that could use some guidance on this kind of install. I basically filled my hole with wet concrete and worked like heck to keep it from getting out of whack. I tore it out twice and started over, but is good now (I think).

Bottom line......TC, I saw your one tub filler video and I know your jam in more tiling and waterproofing, but you have great plumbing skills and I (and I'm sure others) could sure use your expertise on a concrete slab tub filler before I do another bathroom remodel.

Weve done a few. Basically you just need to remove concrete and install the rough in below grade. No real easy way to do it. Pex helps with getting it in the right place.
