Shower plan for advice
Hi, I'm about to build my first shower using a cement pack shower pan, cement board and kerdi membrane. Below are the steps I plan to take, any comments or criticisms of my plan are welcome and appreciated. I've included a few pics to further explain. Aslo please let me know if you have questions or need clarification.
Here are the steps I plan to take.
Hang cement board on the 2 walls walls
Put kerdi membrane on cement board where it meets the curb or cement pack floor pan so the cement board does not absorb water from the cement
Build form and pour concrete curb and also fill the opening in the concrete around the drain
Build cement pack shower pan on concrete floor with thinset layer to help bonding to the concrete slab.
Build the short wall on top of curb and clad it with cement board
Waterproof shower enclosure and curb with kerdi membrane and thinset layer to prep for tile.
