Transition stud for drywall
Hello. This question is for all of you who can come up with creative solutions to a problem. I need to put up a wall stud, preferably with the face showing for two purposes: 1) to act as a transition point from the shower Go Board to the drywall. I want to anchor the Go Board and the first piece of drywall to the face of the stud. 2). It will also be an anchoring point for our glass shower wall. Problem is, there is a pipe running horizontally right where I need to put the stud. Any ideas on what I can do? I have outlined where the stud needs to go in the picture. Thank you all.

If you are going to be screwing into it, you might want to put a "stud guard, safety plate" on the back side (facing the copper pipe) to protect the pipe.
