Hello Tile People, I'm New
Grateful to have this forum available.
I tried to find a pro to tile my wetroom shower, or at least help create a plan so the rough in could be completed. The first guy had no idea what I meant by “tile industry standards”. Four have not responded to multiple requests for estimate/service. Another had no photos of any of his jobs. One “expert” from Craigslist came over in PJs and slippers but forgot dentures. I couldn’t understand him. I actually did find TWO Certified Tile Installers in my area! Both have turned down the job without bidding it, one didn’t even see it, the other is not scheduling for next year, yet. (I cried).
Too Small? Too Big? Too Weird? Honestly, I don’t know. It does however have to get done.
I prefer not to, however I think I may “get to” do it myself. Tiling experience, you wonder? May I count a craft project at summer camp? Lol, if not then zero. I do have some tools, determination, and all sorts of time. Somehow this is going to happen, cuz I tore out the bathroom down to the studs months back, not realizing that Tilers were not going to be available. I saw a recent TileCoach episode where a homeowner did a beautiful job on his own, even his tile choices looked great, proving that it can be done!
I don't have experience, but no one will care more than I do, so there is that.
This is where I am, moving forward. Thanks for the Forum.
Questions coming soon. lol

I just saw your tile job around the sink, and that looks cool.
Thanks for the encouragement!
