Backer board and mud pan ?
Hey fellow tilers ,got another question. I'm doing a shower with cement backer board 1st question which one is yalls favorite to use and 2nd question is since I'm waterproofing with liquid hydroban do you run wallboard to floor and then do the mud pan or mud pan and backer board on top of mud pan and if so do you leave slight gap between backer board and pan ?

I really like permabase. If your doing a topical waterproofing no reason not to do the walls first and then the pan. Will make it easier to establish your line and screed.
