Installers in Phoenix...?
Hello, everybody.
When I purchased my Tile Coach membership, it was in the hope of finding a contractor here in Phoenix to install 24x24 porcelain tile throughout my 1,500 SF condo (including shower and tub surround). I’ve spoken with a few installers, all of them recommended by friends whose opinions I value. But the installer I’m inclined to hire is balking at (1) a linear drain (the concern being waterproofing), and (2) Schluter profiles where the tile meets the drywall (the concern being some kind of failure—cracking, perhaps).
I’ve watched enough of Isaac’s videos to think that addressing both issues is actually pretty straightforward. On the other hand, I don’t see the point in convincing an installer to do something they’re not comfortable doing. I’m the one who’s going to pay the price (literally) if the installation doesn’t go well.
Curious to hear what you all think—and thanks in advance!
Peter
