Once again its the edge finishing

ree

Hi everyone, seems like the finish edges are my Achilles heel. The edge of the durarock where it meets the drywall is an issue. The durarock is 1/2" but I can only find a 1/2" schluter trim edge which will not account for the 3/16" tile plus the thin set. Any suggestions? Thanks so much. I think I need to preplan the edges a little better before starting? Is that a "thing"? (lol) I had my some help me on part of this build and he was working on the outside of the wall while I was working the inside. I did not communicate my vision to him so he did not consider that I was adding the half inch durarock before he finished the drywall. 😛

That's correct: on the edge of the walk-through but not on the face. The durarock is attached directly to 2x4 not drywall. The drywall was supposed to cover the edge of the 2x4 but that was an oversight on my part. That is why the backer is sticking out. I will apply your suggestion to lengthen the tile by 1/16" and apply tape and mud.
