why am I putting my waterproof membrane on top of my concrete board? why doesn't it go behind the concrete board like the rubber liner did?
I put my membrane on top of the shower pan and fold it up the sides behind the concrete wall board. The durock. because Hardy sucks. why are we putting a waterproof membrane on top of a non-waterproof surface? it should be behind The wallboard. prove me wrong.

It all depends on if you are using a pan liner (which has the waterproofing behind) or a sealed system (has the waterpoofing on top)
