Mixing banding materials for DenSheild?

Howdy all.

I'm brand new to the forum, but have been an avid subscriber of the Tile Coach's You-Tube submissions for a few years. I have and still appreciate the transfer of knowledge.

Some background on the project:  I will be using DenShield for the walls of my shower as a tile backer instead of foam board or a cement board . I've used it once before and before the first Schluter systems I ever saw on the market. The shower pan will be a custom size rectangular RSS tile-ready pan. I will also be creating a full wall shower niche on one side on a load bearing wall that will have have an accent style tile patten.

Before I drop some coin on the RSS items I want, I have a question: Can you mix banding materials on the walls?

The DenSheild , a Georgia Pacific product, recommends the fiberglass mesh tape for all the vertical and horizontal seams, but I'm eyeing the premade corners that RSS (and Schluter) make to see if that might be a better option for the corners of the niche. I know I need the RSS style banding for the horizontal seams on the pan, in conjunction with the inside and outside bottom corners for the wall/pan joint and and the curbing , but can I use the RSS type corners on the niche? It would sure help with avoiding corner build up prior to waterproofing and tiling. Or can I use the RSS type banding all around and avoid having to buy two rolls?
