Accent tile
I am installing a vertical accent strip. I am doing the field in a 12”x24” using 1/2 by1/2 trowel. The accent tile is the same thickness as the field. My question is what size trowel should I use so the thin set does not come through the tile? I was thinking 3/8x3/8.

3/8x1/4 or 1/4x/1/4. But you may need to add something to fur it out flush with the 12x24's. You wont know until the field tile is set.
