Shower valves

I replaced the stub outside with these longer version but they still push on the Rockboard. Mainly the tube clamoring.

I asked my plumbers and they said it was a tiler problem. They have to stick out this much for the 5/8 rock, 1/8 of thinset, and 3/8 of tile plus the 7/8 trim ring (sitting ro the side).

I couldnt find any other adapters available.

The valve should be set at the correct depth by the plumber. It’s up to the GC or homeowner/DIYer to let the plumber know the details of the finished surface. You could remove some of the blocking depth behind the valve if it’s too far out.
