Screw in drain
I’ve noticed an uptick in the amount of manufacturers of bonding flange drains that offer a 3 piece drain connection option. Do they recommend plugging the weep holes when installing this type of drain? My thinking goes that if you have a mud pan and sheet membrane on top; if the drain ever clogs and backs up all that water is going to come up through the weep holes, saturate the pan with no way to dry out. Potential to rot out the subfloor too. Any thoughts?

Good to know. I don’t have any experience with them but was interested in how that would work. Funny I saw you posted a video on the subject right after I posted the question 🤣🤣
